Staycation in a Treehouse

IMG_9293

Something different from all the other places we’ve stayed at. This has a younger vibe and definitely different!

We checked-in on the 15th floor – and the decor and view from the lobby reminded us we’re up high in a “Treehouse” –

Treehouse Hotel was founded on the ideas that inspire a child to build a treehouse. Adventure, independence, cozy spaces and repurposing crafty things are what make a place warm and special. That’s why every Treehouse Hotel celebrates found objects, nostalgic tunes, handmade details and locally sourced treats.

Room numbering – accents of trees everywhere

When we were in our room, there were so many unexpected and delightful things. Look who was in our room?

Hello Paddington! We’ll take care of you.

Look at all those fun cushions on the bed!

George seems to fit right in there! LOL!

George fitted right in there with the throw cushions.

We headed up to The Nest (appropriate name) for lunch – where dogs are allowed till 5pm.

There was outside seating …

Wow! The view.

Taking in the landscape of London Town with views of the London Eye, The Shard, Canary Wharf and Regent’s Park.

But we chose to sit inside – the weather hasn’t been great.

Oh yum! Lobster and crab roll …

We went to back to “nest” in our room …

George loved looking out the window – wonder what he sees.

And he would sit with Mum – she really enjoyed sitting on the window sill to read and to watch telly from there.

But I like lying on the bed …

There wasn’t a bathtub but Mum liked the “crittal” look.

It was a very relaxing – Mum watched Wimbledon and we chilled … until there was a knock on our door. And then there was Rebecca – she’s our dog walker.

Look how she got us both melting under her touch! LOL!

Mum was going to have dinner at Maderas, where dogs are not allowed. Rebecca took us to Regents Park for an hour. So when Mum came back from dinner, she didn’t have to take us down again.

We woke up the next morning to the first glimpse of the sun in the horizon …

We went for our morning walkies and stopped at the cafe downstairs for Mum’s matcha latte, and sat outside in the front “lawn” …

And then it was time to go home … short but sweet experience.

May’s comment: Came across Treehouse Hotel by accident. On researching it, I found out it’s the same team that did the W Hotels (and a former big boss) so was curious to see what it’s all about.

There were just unexpected little surprises that reminded me of many childhood memories …

Piggy bank!

Cuckoo clock in the bathroom!

It’s another dog staycation. And they had a special dog package which includes dog treats and dining options from Lily’s Kitchen. Dog sitting and dog walking up to one hour session per stay. Treehouse’s Canine Concierge’s guide to London.

I took advantage of the dog walking …

As I went to have dinner at Maderas, which is not dog-friendly.

This is the view from Maderas … and it wouldn’t have been good for the doggies – it was all rather noisy.

It’s modern Mexican cuisine and absolutely delicious!

Sashimi Mexicano

Sautéed king prawn marinated with garlic, lime, jalapeño cabbage, avocado mojo and coriander.

Treehouse Hotel is at 14-15 Langham Place London W1B 2QS. Perfectly perched across the street from the BBC and a stone’s throw from the movers and shakers on Regent and Bond Streets. Great location for when you are coming to London for some shopping along Regent and Oxford Street.
