Wearing my poppy to remember … and to support our Armed Forces.Someone told me that the idea of the Poppy came after the 1st World War when they grew wild on some of the sites of the bloodiest battles in that war.
May’s comment: My American friends always ask me why we wear the Poppy so here’s hoping to answer the question – to remember those who fought for our freedom – the British Armed Forces and their families. All profits from poppy sales go to The Royal British Legion will spend the money in the whole of the UK.
