A few times we took the train to the countryside – in Lincolnshire where I met Taggy, the black poodle who loves to bark in the woods when it gets dark,
Billy the slobbering big black Labrador who loves to hunt. He often comes back with pheasant feathers still stuck to his mouth.
And Rupert, an old Pug who has arthritis.
We spent a few weekends there and we would all go out in the garden and play – chasing balls, taking walks together.
There’s also Polly, another black Labrador who found me annoying. I was still little then and wanted to play but he barked at me and told me to go away. I wasn’t very welcomed there.
Mummy loved the misty mornings when we go out for walks – half the time afraid I would be lost in the fog!
