We’re this year’s “Teddies”!

IMG_8575

Every year at the Great Ormond Street Hospital Christmas parties they give out teddies at the Teddy Machine.  But this year they had pooches!!!

IMG_8587Every child went home with a stuffed pooch – that’s nice!

There were all kinds of “animals” at the party but Mummy took this picture for me  – a Dalmatian was there.

She couldn’t help herself but took a photo with the Super Heroes – she thought Spider Man had an amazing physique.

And she saw an imposter dressing up like Santa!

Look! And he’s running away! Get that guy!

May’s comment: What an amazing opportunity to be able to help out at the annual Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital Christmas party. This is my second year – but it is still bittersweet looking at sick children having a good time. The organisers do an amazing job – all sorts of activities to take the children’s minds off their illnesses for albeit an hour and a half. They get to make cupcakes, create toys, paint their nails, dance, sing, have their photos taken, and they all get a “teddy Bear” from the Teddy Machine but this year they gave away doggies. While we all enjoy everything that’s Christmas – from lovely lights on trees, buying gifts for one another and singing well-loved songs – watching children enjoy Christmas is truly exemplary of how magical this time of year is.
