… the recent wave of Anti-Dog movement has always been around. There wouldn’t be a lot of heartwarming stories told about our loyalty and faithfulness – as recounted by someone who is incensed by the recent wave of anti-dog movement.
“Greyfriars Bobby” would have been “banned” from the graveyard where he stayed vigil by his owner’s graveside.
“Lassie” couldn’t have “come home.” She would have been detained as a “stray” by the local dog warden and her “owner” would have been fined!
Hachiko couldn’t have sat outside the railway station for years waiting in vain for his “best friend!” He would have been shoo-ed away and even worst, been put in the pound as a stray!
The Wizard of Oz would never have been unveiled because “Toto” wouldn’t have been allowed into the “hall of the wizard” !
The consequences would have been … none of these heartwarming stories about us pooches who would do anything for our owners.
