A Pawfect Stay

At the crossroads of Knightsbridge, Chelsea, and Belgravia, the Jumeirah Carlton Tower commands one of London’s most enviable postcodes. Overlooking the private Cadogan Gardens, the hotel feels like a serene sanctuary in the heart of the city — close enough to the boutiques of Sloane Street and the buzz of Harrods, yet quietly cocooned in refined calm in the nearby boutiques of Belgravia.

Our recent stay at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower was nothing short of magical — not just for me, but especially for George and Lulu, who were treated like true VIPs (Very Important Paws) from the moment we arrived.

A Welcome to Remember

When we entered our suite, we were greeted with the sweetest welcome: balloons bobbed cheerfully, a handwritten message on the mirror addressed to George and Lulu, and thoughtful touches that made it clear the team had gone out of their way to make George and Lulu feel special. It was such a joyful sight — tails wagging, little paws pattering across the floor, and me just standing there grinning.

To top it all off, the room had special dog beds waiting for them, each with its own embroidered bedside mat — their names stitched in alongside heartfelt messages that couldn’t have been more adorable. It’s rare to find a hotel that goes beyond “dog-friendly” to truly “dog-welcoming,” but the Jumeirah team absolutely nailed it.

Thoughtful Touches for the Humans, Too

Of course, they didn’t forget about me. My stay came with its own touches of indulgence — monogrammed slippers waiting by the bed and a pink keycard embossed with my initials, which instantly made me smile. It’s these small, bespoke details that make the experience feel deeply personal, like you’re being looked after by people who genuinely care about the guest experience.

And our room had a panoramic view of London’s ever-changing skyline.

And while the pups enjoyed their cosy beds, I indulged in a spa treatment at The Peak Fitness Club & Spa.

Dining at Chinoiserie

Dinner was at Chinoiserie, the hotel’s elegant all-day dining lounge that evening. The atmosphere strikes that perfect balance between refined and relaxed — the kind of place where you can unwind while still feeling utterly spoiled. The food was beautiful, full of flavour and finesse, and the service every bit as polished as you’d expect.

Meanwhile, George and Lulu, who are perfect diners, dozed happily by my side, clearly content after such a warm welcome. There’s something wonderfully grounding about sharing moments like that — fine dining and furry company, all under the same chandelier-lit ceiling.

Walkies at Cadogan Gardens

Just across the street from the hotel are the Cadogan Gardens, a private pocket of greenery perfect for a morning or evening stroll. It became our little retreat during the stay — leafy paths, rustling trees. It’s hard to imagine a more peaceful corner of Knightsbridge to begin or end the day.

A Stay That Truly Feels Personal

Aside from its fabulous location, what sets the Jumeirah Carlton Tower apart is the level of care that goes into every detail — for both two-legged and four-legged guests. From the thoughtful welcome to the elegant touches and effortless service, it felt less like a hotel stay and more like being truly looked after.

We left with happy hearts, wagging tails, and a sense that this wasn’t just another London getaway — an experience we’ll treasure.

Jumeirah Carlton Tower is located at 1 Cadogan Place, London SW1X 9PY
