We stayed with Tory, Tati and their two pussy cats – Bacchus and Sarko in Serres.
This is our new best buddy, Tati the Perrier (Poodle and Terrier)
And two cats – Sarko and Bacchus
who taught us about house rules.
When they had their meals, we had to stay outside – and watched longingly.
Tory showed us lots of sights in Avignon …
We went to the Saturday market in Pernes-les-Fontaines and saw some of the many fountains
A lovely lunch at Cafe Fleurs in L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue and found lovely shops.
At Carpentras, Jouvaud Patissier was one of the shops Mummy loved!
And strawberries to die for!
And then to Châteauneuf du Pape for a special lunch.
We took an early evening drive through the hills from Le Barroux via the hilltop village La Roque Alric
with the Dentelles de Montmiral mountains in the background
through the vineyards of Beaumes de Venise down to the town.
Mont Ventoux was a little elusive but we did see it.
We went for walks by the canals
And in the vineyards
But after each trip we loved returning home to Tory and Tati’s home in Serres. We loved running in her garden …
Wild George!
George and Tati would play
While I observed …
Sometimes George will seek out Bacchus for a challenge!
And for special occasions, we were allowed to sit by the pool for sunsets.
But of course before returning to being city furries again, we had a “toilettage” at Chez Tory by Cecile!

Then it was Tati’s turn …
As I observed how it’s done.
May’s comments: We kept up with our blog during our travels. We would go explore during the day and then back at Tory’s I would sit and document our adventures for the day.
Sometimes in the garden …
In the kitchen
or in bed.
We had a lovely week in Provence. It all came and went too fast. So many more places to go to. We found many dog-friendly places.
Tory lives in her home surrounded by vineyards with view of Mont Ventoux. She insists that I have not seen it properly yet and that’s a reason to come back.
She also has a gite (a holiday apartment) called Les Cerisiers to let with a private pool, and since she has met Miss Darcy & Co. she has agreed to let dogs up to cockapoo size to stay!!!
Hooray!
