A Cotswolds Christmas

IMG_1818

Merry Christmas everyone! We are in the lovely Cotswolds – picturesque England!
We’re staying at The Lygon ArmsWhere “Angus” greeted us on arrival. But there are quite a few real dogs at the hotel. This is Barney, a goldendoodle – ever so friendly and reminded us of Crumpet. And little Charlie, a maltipoo!

We went for a walk around the Broadway villageSome quaint little shopsHad lunch at Russell’s Fish n’ Chips before we headed back to the hotel
In time to watch “The Snowman”Followed by “The Snowman and the Snowdog!”It must be Christmas! 🙂

May’s comment: Broadway is a large village and civil parish in the Worcestershire part of the Cotswolds in West Midlands region.

Last minute arrangements, yet managed to get a room at The Lygon Arms on the High Street of Broadway.  The hotel has roots reaching right into the 1300’s. You can stay in the suite that Oliver Cromwell stayed in the night before the Battles of Worcester in 1651. John Travis’ name is on the arch of the front door, etched into the hotel’s history in 1620.

Dog-friendly of course – quite a few guests with dogs.
