Whenever we go for a walkies in Green Park, Mum always plan to stop at Le Deli Robuchon on Picadilly for an oat cappuccino and one of their wide selection of viennoiseries and patisseries – all baked on site. That’s Mum rewarding herself after all the walking. LOL! We would have run her distance four times over and we don’t get anything.
It is perhaps one of the best French bakeries and patisseries in London. So during our recent staycation at the nearby Mayfair Townhouse, we went for there every morning after our runaround in Green Park. Mum was delighted
They do serve breakfast, lunch, supper and snack options and the very best products to purchase. And we always seem to leave with a bag of something – you know Mum, for the next day’s Afternoon Tea or her Elevenses.
On the next street is Le Comptoir Robuchon. When we first learnt about it during Lockdown we couldn’t find out if they were dog-friendly. As soon as the road map of lockdown allowed us to dine indoors, Mum called and they were happy to have me come along!
The elegant Art Deco dining room is the backdrop for French haute cuisine.
This was how I sat during the whole evening waiting for something to be handed down.
Finally, a basket of delicious bread came.
I got the mini baguette.
And Mum even shared this J Robuchon bread.
Those two mini burgers with foie gras were like little gems! From which I got nothing! But I did have some fries.
The staff was pleased to see me and said they would love to have me back again.
May’s comment: For a long while there were only a handful of places we could dine with dogs when in Mayfair. But things have recently changed and so delighted that both the Robuchon Deli and their restaurant are dog-friendly.
Le Comptoir Robuchon is a tribute to Joel Robuchon’s legacy, simplicity, consistency and attention to detail. It is perhaps one of the best French restaurants & cocktail bars in the heart of Mayfair London. Located at 6 Clarges Street, Mayfair W1J 8AE – as there isn’t a lot of space in between tables it would be not advisable to bring large dogs.
