We had a lovely visit with Barney and Nells from Windsor. We met up in Kensington Gardens or a walk – well, more like a run for us.
Hello Barney! Hello Nellie! I’m sorry George couldn’t make it today.
Actually Mummy decided there was no way George could come. She figured she would spend the entire walk controlling George in his runaway mode. Well, he doesn’t run away, he just doesn’t know how to look back and check-in with Mummy.
So it’s just us three for today.
We began with a let’s-get-to-know-you treating time.
And then we’re off!
When Barney saw me chasing Nells, he got involved.
Apparently he doesn’t like anyone else playing with his little sister.
Barney said – Break it up!
Whatever! So then Barney chased Nells and I followed. Such cockapoo dynamics!
I somewhat understand as I would do the same if George was around. If I am busy doing my own thing and George wants to play, I get annoyed with him. But when some other doggy starts playing with George, I do become possessive of him.
Well, that was enough running – more treats, did you say?
And I know how to say – Please?
May’s comment: As we went for a walk with Emma and her two doggies at the park, it occurred to me that if not for Darcy as well as George, how I would never have met her, nor many of the people who have become a part of my life this past year. In fact almost every new person I had got to know in 2014 had been because of the dogs. Whether it was through this blog, on Darcy’s Facebook pages or just on our walks, we have made an instant connection because of our love for dogs.
Now that’s a thought. Forget about internet dating – or dating for that matter. Shouldn’t “single” dog owners or people looking for friends just meet on doggy get togethers and see if our dogs get on. Then we’re off to a good start. Must love dogs brings on a whole new meaning. Never thought much of the film with the same title but now I embrace it wholeheartedly.
And on quiet evenings – especially this past week, while sitting on the sofa watching Christmas specials with Darcy & George snuggled close by – one of either side, I thought – how much better does this get? Possibly, maybe another human. Or this is pretty good for me – for now. 🙂
So we shall re-consider.

What a great idea for a dating site, single dog owners.
they could be graded by age breed and parks.. And that’s just the humans!
what do you think May?????
I think I remember reading that Davina McCall met her husband whilst they were both out walking their respective dogs…..❤️❤️
