It must be miracle week! Mum made us some doggy treats!!!!
Yup, she had given herself a challenge … to make something from a recipe.
Edgard Cooper had sent us a book of treats, with some ingredients to go with it,

but it took Mum three weeks to buy the other ingredients, i.e. oat and oat bran. LOL! Thankfully we already have pumpkin puree and we have nut butter.

It was the easiest recipe in the book.

And so she set about making us Peanut Butter Balls – the easiest recipe in the book.

She put ALL the ingredients in the bowl – without reading the recipe … (eye roll)

She then realised she was suppose to add the oat bran slowly after kneading all the others ingredients together.

Oh well, I guess it all comes out the same.

She started kneading them into 3cm size balls …

But she managed to make up two plates of little miracle balls!

It needed to stay in the fridge for an hour … and then voila!

George: I won’t look

Mum, I think you forgot an ingredient …

May’s comment: Oops! Pestle and mortar is in the back of the cupboard. Needed to break up the kibbles.
It isn’t because I can’t bake, I just have no desire to do so. Also needs practice often and then have someone to share it with. As I live alone, cooking and baking for myself – can you imagine the consequences?
But we got this doggy recipe book, Homebaked Happiness from Edgard Cooper – so had to at least try something. I chose the easiest of menus – Fast (key word) Peanut Butter Balls.
And voila! Something came out of it. It only took me a month to muster up the desire to make the treats …

Darcy and George were not sure what to make of them! LOL!
I am sure the other recipes are delicious! Maybe we can try another another day when I have nothing else to do.
P.S. This is not an ad – we just thought it would be a challenge to see if I can actually make something out of a recipe book.

Good for you May! I’m sure you felt wonderful making something for Darcy and George!
It made a lot of treats, can you freeze them?
Stay safe, stay well!
I used the treats as an extra to their meals – took awhile to finish them off! LOL!
Those look great! Well Done ??
I might need to make these for Togo.
Very easy!
