Answered Prayers

Kizzy is home!  She had a waggy tail moment yesterday – no other medical opinions could have said it better.  She beat the parvovirus. She spent the last few days fighting for her life. 10291038_10203776629521442_8858750380566150198_n When her Mummy posted on a Facebook group to let members know that Kizzy was unwell, she didn’t know that it would cause such a fervour of well wishers, with thousands of people willing Kizzy to pull through her plight, while earnest prayers were sent heavenward from all over the UK, North America and even as far as Asia. We read the reports from her Mummy every morning and every evening, following her progress. For days, reports of her lifelessness  haunted our minds.  Many of us shed many a tear for little Kizzy – all of nine weeks old and going through an ordeal she never asked for. We kept up to date on her every bit of progress. And we rejoiced at the slightest movement – like when she opened her eyes to look at her Mummy.10311962_10203787936684114_1914569349_n Well, last night Kizzy went home – safe in her Mummy’s arms, and already being her kooky cockapoo self.10344933_10203804168249893_1516620381_nThank you, humans – for caring. So many of you stopped during the day to think about Kizzy.  So many of you asked about Kizzy.  We love how your human hearts can care so much for a wee little one like Kizzy. Thank you for your prayers.  Someone heard them. 🙂

And someone thoughtfully sent Kizzy this.10312123_10203808045946833_1809865589_n

  1. Brilliant – well done little Kizzy!
This is every dog owners worst nightmare,
I bet everyone is happy she’s now safely home where she belongs x

  2. Our mummy learned that when you are that young and sick and trying to recover you should drink only bottled water to keep as much bacteria out of your system. Foods should be kept very light and natural too. No beef hide or pigs ears for chewing,,,,,too hard to digest…just lots of tender loving care, not too much exercise since parvovirus is very debilitating to a small puppy lots of hugs and cuddles from your family are the best to help you heal.

  3. Hiya, thanks for all the support for Kizzy that has come from around the word via Darcey’s blog. She’s only been home since Friday and is already just like any other little puppy. It’s as if nothing has even happened to her despite surviving Parvo against all the odds. It’s been a very long week and I thank you all for your prayers, healing and well wishing.

  4. Oh thank goodness you have her back safe and sound. What an ordeal for you all to go through, she is so young. but these cockerpoos of ours are such little fighters. Lots loaf love and kisses from me and fro. Sealea Blue. Xxx
