At the hairdressers

IMG_3930

This morning I went to Richard Ward hairdressers with Mummy. I knew I was going be in here for the long run so I settled into my space.

Then Mummy picked me up and I sat on her lap.   Ahhhh! This is better.

Then Mario came along and told us about this new pet brush that they had created.  He gave me a brushing with it – it feels amazing – as if I was being stroked! I sat there for the longest time.  Then Mummy gave me a brush and she loved how smoothly it works unlike the ones we have one where I can feel the brush pulling at my hair.

May’s comment: Richard Ward has a human version called “Tangle Angel” but so many of their clients started using it on their dogs that they decided to look into it. That’s how Pet Angel was created – the Detangling Grooming Brush.  Amazing to use, doesn’t feel like it’s doing much, feels more like stroking which explains why Darcy wasn’t jerky as I ran the brush through her hair. She’s always very good when I brush her but she would jerk when something pulls. With this brush, it gently detangles any matting.

Apparently this will soon be available – the first batch can be ordered from Richard Ward Hairdressers as early as next week. Then there should be a nationwide distribution – for more information go to www.petangelbrush.com or www.richardwarrd.com

  1. Ooh definitely want one of these dog angel brushes once they’re available-you’ll have to keep us updated!! Miss Darcy has such lovely fur May. Do you find she gets matted easily? Our ‘poo is just getting his adult coat growing through and its caused no end of tangling so we had to get him clipped but would really prefer to keep a longer coat. Your tips would be much appreciated 🙂 xx

    1. Darcy does not mat much – only when I wash her and then I am not so good with brushing her out completely – then she gets matted. One of the things I learnt was – do not leave their collars on at home – that will press down on the hair and mat it. When you put them in clothes – that also matts the hair. And before I wash her paws, feet, brush them out first then wash them and then brush them out. Darcy is also quite curly a week after her day at the groomers. Hope this helps.
The brush will be available as of next week from the store and then nationwide next month.

  2. Hello May, this brush seems to be exactly what
I am searching for my cat Ambassa. She is a
main-coon mix and brushing her is a nightmare
and painful for both of us. Can you pls. ask them
    if they deliver abroad?

    1. I am sure they will mail anywhere but they are not available yet> When I go again next week I’ll find out.
