A meeting at The Kennel Club

IMG_3717

Mummy took me with her to The Kennel Club for a focus group amongst dog owners and breeders to explore how the Kennel Club can further help with the health and wellbeing of dogs.  Mummy was very pleased to be a part of this but we can’t tell you why we were there – because she signed a confidentiality agreement. LOL! But we were excited to have visited The Kennel Club.

We waited in the lobby for us to be called into the Boardroom. Mummy was looking at the various things in the reception area like this photograph of Queen Elizabeth and her doggies, i.e. corgis.IMG_3725But while I was sitting on the chairs “reserved for the dog”
IMG_3720I was intrigued by the jar on the coffee tableIMG_3722The little doggy sculpture reminded me I had to say “please” …IMG_3727 There were journals and magazines all about dogsIMG_3724 And we were finally asked to enter the Boardroom. As we went through those very big doors, we saw many dog portraits …IMG_3731 But when we entered the Boardroom, these were and are the esteemed Chairmen of The Kennel ClubIMG_3732 And of course I had my photo taken with them.IMG_3734I sat for about an hour and a half as the hoomans discussed some important things pertaining to the well-being of dogs. IMG_3735When it was time to go, Mummy got a goody bag – and one of the items in the bag was Human Treats!IMG_3743Mummy was so excited! What could be in that little tin?IMG_3746It was some mints! Boy! Was she disappointed!!! LOL! She was hoping it could have been Smarties or m&m’s – something chocolate would have been appreciated!!!

May’s comment: Well, it was good to have an insight into their plans for the well-being of dogs. So we gave our bit of input. Can’t wait to see what comes out of it.IMG_3719They have the largest collection of canine art – and with our growing collection, who knows, we maybe we’ll be second except my subjects are a little limited. :  We are scheduled to do an tour of the art collection in September if anyone cares to join! Tours are free on selected dates.

The Kennel Club located at Clarges Street, London.
