I didn’t really understand why Mummy wouldn’t let me sleep in the bed with her the last four nights.
You know I ALWAYS sleep with Mummy and she would feel rejected if I don’t. But for the three nights in Berlin and the night on the ferry, I wasn’t allowed to sleep on her bed. I was a bit confused.
But I tried. Every night when she was getting ready for bed, I would look at her quizzingly. And she would say no!
And when I think she’s asleep, I would walk in to see if I might just jump on.
I did the first night – twice but she shoo-ed me away.
I got the message that she didn’t want me in the room, but I wasn’t just going to give in without trying. I know how easy it is to change Mummy’s mind about things like that.
So I thought on the last night she might relent as I looked at her deploringly. But NO! was my answer.
Relegated to the same place as George.
So finally last night, we were back home – and we were back to where we belong.
May’s comment: Well it wasn’t as difficult as I thought it might have been. They didn’t cry – Darcy just kept trying but George sort of took it as it is. I think it was more difficult for me not to have them with me. But one must do what is right in someone else’s household.

glad your all home safe and sound and back to the usual sleeping arrangements!
Its such a shame we can’t explain to our little four legged friends! I often wish my Ruby could speak!
Awww her little face!!! It must be so confusing for them when they visit other households. Maggie has the run of the house but when visiting my brother she is barely allowed in the lounge lol!
Being a house guest is tough. I stayed with people who made the dogs stay in the mud room downstairs. I never slept a wink. It was hard. And when we went out they did not want to leave the dogs in the house so they were tethered outside. I was out of my mind the whole time. Never, ever again.
