The Journey to Agility

IMG_1510

We went to Agility class today.

It is such a long journey to Stokes Poges in Gerrards Cross that I feel I have already done agility by the time I get there – jumping on and off a bus, jumping onto a moving escalator, running through underground tunnels, riding the tube, up the escalator, onto a train at Marylebone Station, off the train and up the stairs and through the turnstile – into a cab before finally arriving at Stokes Poges for more jumping, running and stopping.  The difference is I get lots of treats there.

Arriving at South Kensington Station, we went down the escalators

IMG_1508They just announced Gerrards Cross so I jumped off my seat and went to the door.

Got into a taxi at the station and another 10min ride to Stokes Poges

May’s comment: And then we came back all that way again. I was exhausted! But worth every minute of it. Darcy did amazingly well. She went onto all the equipment and did really well.  Her weave needs practising. But it was quite warm and when Sue and I were speaking, she went to the tunnel to get some shade! Clever girl!  Agility is perfect for her – it stimulates her mind and makes her think. She’s absolutely knackered at the end of it. I too had to learn how to take her from one equipment to another. Well, I guess the road to being good at anything isn’t an easy road.

  1. Sounds like so much fun! I am going to have to take Scout when she is a little older!
