We’ve been wanting to take a photo with this cute bandana. Along with Mum wearing her matching t-shirt.

Recent happenings reminded us that “in a world where you can be anything, be kind.”
We should always strive to be kind whenever possible. And it is always possible. Equally important, be kind to yourself. Because “you will never speak to anyone more than you speak to yourself in your head.”

May’s comment: Why, I’ve asked myself, is the world in such an angry state? Not just the blatant racism but people feeling the need to protest about everything and bullying on the dreaded social media – where it gives everyone a platform to flex their muscles and briefly make them feel powerful.
We’ve had such a fabulous month of football. The England team brought us together as a nation. We cheered, we hoped, we sang and we dared to dream. And when England lost, ugly racism raised its head. The sad part of it was how many of us immediately thought right after the three young England team members missed their penalty kicks that the racial abuse will undoubtedly happen. It was shameful to witness. And shame on the social media giants for allowing it to happen.
Racism, bullying stems from hatred and anger at something that doesn’t sit right with the ignorant. Throwing verbal abuse at other human beings on social media is cowardly. How sad it is that these people needed to show their hatred towards another human being.
Those targeted suffer mental abuse but the collective negativity inadvertently affects us all mentally – without us realising it.
However, usually in the darkest of hours and saddest of moments, love shines through. And with it a glimmer of hope that love will always win, and light will overcome darkness.

When speaking to friends about the state of mental health, many have turned off the news and one said, just watch Netflix. LOL! I wonder if that is ignoring what is going on in the world.
But we can do our part each day by being kind. And we should “be kind to unkind people. They need it the most.”
