Today is Roald Dahl Story Day and we get to act out characters from his stories.
Our favourite Roald Dahl book is The BFG.

So I am going to be the Big Friendly Giant aka BFG, and Mum plays ‘Sophie’

Just like Sophie was afraid when she met BFG, Mum was nervous when she first met me. Though I wasn’t as big as the 24 foot behemoth, I represented a BIG responsibility for Mum. My presence dwarfed her footloose and carefree life!
It took time but we eventually became inseparable just like BFG and Sophie became best friends.
BFG often went to Dream Country, the home of all the dreams in the Universe. At Dream Country, BFG collected dreams for his collection, so he can give the nice dreams like “WinkSquibblers” and “Golden Fizzwiggs” to sleeping children. And locks away any unwanted Nightmares known as “TroggleHumpers“.
Mum and I have visited a lot of countries together but we haven’t been to Dream Country yet. Or maybe we have in our dreams! Because I know Mum has lots of good dreams and rarely any nightmares. Maybe I did give them to her after all.
BFG and Sophie even went to Buckingham Palace to convince the Queen to get rid of all those bad giants. And she did!

May’s comment: Every September there’s a global celebration of favourite Roald Dahl characters, stories and moments. This year Roald Dahl Story Day is today, the 13th September. And for the fun of it, I made my first photo shop edit! Woohoo!!!

Another Covid-19 Challenge realised – thanks to Alice.

My doggies, Gina and Nikki love Roald Dahl too! They love your Mom’s photo shop pictures. Maybe we can get a photo shop program for our computer!
