You know that “Chicken Lady” aka Vanessa who tells us to do strange things – who tells us to go play and then calls us back, and then go play and then shouts our name to come back – always tricking us with yummy pieces of chicken.
Well, we’ve invited her to come and join us at our next Hyde Park Meet – so she can trick all our friends to do the same! 🙂
Let’s see if they fall for them like we did. But then when there are treats involved – it’s always a huge draw for us. Even runaway George comes running like a lunatic!
May’s comment: At our next cockapoo (and all doodles) meet on the 8th February (Sunday) – we’ve invited Vanessa Guimares, a dog behaviourist to join us. Of course we all read up on training with this online dog training course but inviting Vanessa to the park means she can actually see our dogs behaviour. We thought it would be helpful for anyone wanting to ask questions about their dogs behaviour. Vanessa has a B.Sc. degree in Canine Behaviour & Training from Hull University and has been working with dogs since 2007. As a result has spent hundreds of hours teaching private lessons, dog and puppy training classes and consulting privately on dog behaviour problems throughout London and the surrounding areas.
Her mission is simply to help people and dogs enjoy one another through real understanding, compassion, cooperation and heartfelt connection. She applies scientific principles to her training with the dogs’ well-being at the centre of it all.
She will be there to answer to answer questions about your pooches’ behaviour.
As some of our doggies are allergic to chicken, Vanessa will bring ham instead! Or bring your own treats.
Please note that the Hyde Park Cockapoo Meets are now located behind The Serpentine Gallery – Kensington Gardens, London W2 3XA. This is the original Serpentine Gallery – not the Serpentine Sackler. Meet will begin at 11am.
There is parking in front of the Seprentine Gallery as well as across the street from the gallery.

Hi there, I read that there will be a meet this Sunday (8th) and wondered if it would be ok to join you? We are currently on a waiting list for a Cockapoo puppy (litter planned for April) and it would be great to meet some Cockspoos in person :)) Justine.
Hi Justine – but of course. We’ve had a few pre-owners come to meet us humans and poos before they owned one. It helped to give them a better idea on what they were expecting.
It’s at 11am behind the Serpentine Gallery in Kensington Gardens.
