It doesn’t take much to make Mummy happy. When she’s surrounded by us – even when it means sharing her pillow with us two fur balls – the night is already better.
I always sleep in between the pillows. And George still has to be one better than me – so he’s taken to sleeping on Mummy’s pillow. 🙂
Mummy would come into the room and pretends to be annoyed. She then creeps into bed so as not to disturb us. Because if we should move away she will be disappointed. LOL!
When I wake up in the morning, I get off my side of the bed and jump up on the other side to snuggle with Mummy till the alarm goes off.
George wakes up a little later than I do. And he would do the same thing – jumps onto the bed to where I am snuggled up.
But instead of lying down quietly,
he walks up to Mummy and starts licking her face – wake up! wake up! he says.
I used to do that was I was little but have since learnt – when the alarm goes, it means it’s snooze time which translates into snuggle time.
But as for George – when he doesn’t manage to wake Mummy, he then bothers me. And we’ll start playing – George will leap up and down from the bed till I get down. We will play fight … till Mummy can’t lie in peacefully any more! Then its breakfast time!!!
If not for George, I may still be waiting for breakfast at mid-morning.
May’s comment: Ahhh, the joys of being a responsible dog owner. No morning lie-ins, no early nights. But the cuddles and the snuggles – makes it all worthwhile.
