When we were still at Tier 2 right after Lockdown #2, we snuck in to see Father Christmas at Liberty’s.

Father Christmas was social distancing so we couldn’t sit on his lap. It sure looked like he was pretending we’re his reindeer. Note that he’s wearing a Liberty face mask as well! LOL!
When we left Liberty’s we came out onto Carnaby Street and saw all these decorations.

And on Regent Street we were wowed by the sculptural angel lights.

But look at the crowd of people without masks. It was quite scary – and probably the reason why London is now in Tier 4 lockdown!
We quickly hurried away and escaped to Sketch …

They have been undecidedly dog-friendly until this year. Now we could just call and make a reservation in The Parlour room. Mighty pleased with their direction.

We love the chairs with ballerina shoes.

After dining at Sketch, we walked down the road to Berkeley Square and saw this amazing display at Annabel’s.

It’s the Nutcracker Suite …
But we had enough of too many people out and about, so we got into Andy’s taxi. And look! we have our own Christmas lights in the cab!

Andy, is one of the best things that happened soon after the first Lockdown. Mum came across a cab parked near the park we go to often. We needed to get somewhere quickly and Mum asked if he could take us. He had been on call for a client taking him to various appointments, etc. And his cab was clean and he had all the precautions in place. Since that cab ride, he had picked us up many more times because we trust him. And he takes great care to clean his cab after every ride. So when he came to pick us up he wanted to be sure we had our own Christmas decorations inside the cab.
We drove along Bond Street …

On our way home, we passed by the Berkeley Hotel … WOW!
And at Motcomb Street we saw these rainbow lights …

All this year , the frontline workers at the NHS have been our heroes and the rainbow has become a symbol of the pandemic in the UK.
May’s comment: London is a city of lights at Christmas time. It is magical and a big tourist attraction. We appreciate the effort to bring out some Christmas cheer this year. Sadly, it had become quite the wrong attraction as it drew so many people out and about.
