Last weekend we went on a special carriage ride arranged by Duke of York Square.
Off we went – clip-clopping around Sloane Square – and it went a little further around another square …
It was such a treat. The Christmas lights have all come on.
The Salvation Army was playing at Sloane Square
While carols were sung at Duke of York Square
Not just around Sloane Square but everywhere.
We’ve been to see some of the lights on Bond Street
Yes, there’s always Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park
The shops are all decorated. It has come to be expected that Peggy Porschen always has some decoration
Which has become quite an Instagram sensation
There are always people posing in front of the shop.
And so does Dominique Ansel just further down the road.
This one outside The Ivy Chelsea – has A LOT of baubles!!!
Or it’s just baubles on a traditional wreath
Sometimes it is done so simply and elegantly.
And at the end of the scale …
Only at Annabel’s!
And finally a glimpse of the bearded man in red plus elf!
Next weekend we’ll get to see him properly.
At the end of the carriage ride, we had to have a photo taken.
They asked if we would like to sit on the driver’s seat. Of course!
One last note. Watch the crazy lurking in the back
She was going to photobomb us! Oh Mum!
May’s comment: MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!
