Christmas Wishes

Wishing you a blessed Christmas. I’m going to wait up for Santa tonight …

What about you?

May’s comments: As soon as the weather gets cooler and the leaves change colours our minds start to turn to Christmas. Seasonal decorations start making an appearance. First Halloween, then Thanksgiving before I would allow myself to put up Christmas decorations – in time for the Advent calendar. The build-up to Christmas is magical. Christmas trees a plenty, urban streets all lit up and the stores are full of gifting ideas. We love Christmas Carols, especially by candlelight, we will find a Santa that wouldn’t mind dogs sitting on their lap, and take lots of pictures.

And then all of a sudden it is Christmas Eve. The shops all close in the early afternoon as everyone make their way home to their families and loved ones for the evening.

This year we quietly went about our way to appreciate the beauty and the traditions of the season while thinking about our last Christmas. I honestly didn’t think I wanted to do much this year, but surprisingly we did. And we took delight in the traditions of Christmas.

I had hoped to go to Dusseldorf but travel logistics over the holidays made it difficult to get back to London in time for us to leave for St Andrews for New Years. So we decided to spend it quietly, just the two of us in London.

We had another fabulous photoshoot with @RavenImagery – it was difficult to choose just one so we thought to share some of our other contenders for this year’s Christmas card. Most of them include Darcy Dog.
