We were going to the Chiltern Firehouse for dinner when we spotted this beautiful Spring display at the lovely By Appointment Only Design florist.
There are always beautiful decorations in the front – a great photo opp.
We’ve been to the Chiltern Firehouse for lunch a couple of times, each time sitting in the lovely garden area. But since then they allow “small and well-behaved” dogs in the dining room! And George took advantage of the situation and made friends with the family at the next table. Fortunately, they were enamoured by his tricks. And so were the waiters! I think Mummy and her visiting friends from America had a good time!It was quite late by the time we left. There was a beautiful moon in the sky. But it was time for bed for George and I. We’re not late-nighters.
May’s comment: We’ve been to Chiltern Firehouse a couple of times but we have always sat in the lovely outdoor area. Since they do not serve dinner in the courtyard we were only there for lunch. But they have changed their rules since and “well-behaved small dogs” are now allowed inside!!! Hooray!
The André Balazs restaurant is in one of London’s first purpose-built fire stations. The Grade II listed gothic Victorian building has been transformed into a New York-style brasserie. Guests are greeted by top-hatted doormen. There’s a pretty garden courtyard to their tables for lunch and early dinner drinks.Located at 1 Chiltern St, Marylebone, London W1U 7PA
