Hopes for 2022

And dare we say – Happy New Year?

As we always do each new year, we try to be near water on the first of the year. Because water cleanses and it symbolises change due to its ebb and flow. And we look out to the horizon with hope.

And on the first day of this new year, we walked the beach at Sennen Cove, Cornwall – with our friend/neighbour Missy and her mum, Fiona.

We ran and played.

Dipped our paws in the water.

Please note – I was the ONLY one in the water. As usual George is a scaredy cat and Missy doesn’t yet know what to make of it all except bark excitedly!

As we do each year, we looked out at the horizon, making our wishes for the year ahead.

Please 2022, can you listen to our new year wishes?

And be a little kinder.

May’s comment: We were so glad to be rid of 2020 – hoping and praying that 2021 will be better. With vaccines in our arms, there was hope that we might be able to fight off the virus that had held us all captive.

But the year dragged on with the virus and just when we thought we may be able to carry on with our bucket list of things to do, last year ended unexpectedly for us. So roll on 2022! Don’t count us out. We will make the most of all that is given to us.

  1. If positive thoughts are enough then we have years and years left with out little furries. Sending bucket loads of good wishes and positivity ❤️❤️❤️

  2. May, as always you are an inspiration, but far more importantly the truest friend to the love of your life, Darcy. I’m sad that John Carter is with us no more as his homoeopathic treatment for cancer kept two of my dearest friends alive for far longer and in far better health than traditional veterinary treatment could have done. I feel sure someone must have taken over from him. The Homoeopathic Society in Devonshire Street would know if you are interested in finding out. My warmest wishes to you, Darcy and the lovely George for a memorable 2022 filled with love as always. Big kiss and hugs all around, Jan
