Wow! That was a lot of emotional debate about our dinner. I am pleased that humans really do care enough about our diet to make a documentary about it. Thank you.
The documentary on Channel 5 was quite informative about other diets other than raw. I would not be too happy if I am vegan as I can chew up a stick of carrot and not consume most of it. But I love meat! And having veggies in my minced meat diet is ok since I can’t pick them apart.

It would be useful is someone decide to start regulating dog food but maybe that’s too much effort for any FDAs at this moment. But maybe something like this documentary will make dog food manufacturers to be more considerate about us. We may like junk food like a lot of humans do but they’re not necessarily good for us. And not to just take advantage of us needing to be fed and humans wanting an easier and simpler way – to just make money.
Besides all the seemingly right rationale for my eating raw food, the reason for my feeding on Honey’s Real Dog Food is because we have tried every “high end” brand and some not – and I always ended up with a terrible runny tummy and we were off to the vets ever so often. Mummy was told about going raw and thought – what a yucky idea. But Honey’s made it all pretty straightforward for her. Now she does not cringe her nose when she’s dishing it out for me.
It would be so much easier to travel with dried kibbles since we’re gone so often. But we’re managed with little tupperwares and storing them in hotel fridges – bloody and all! 🙂 If they take dogs, then they would accept my food.
Also because it is moist, I am also less thirsty after eating. Importantly I have kept a slim line figure. Before that I was gaining weight – I was a bit rolly polly with a funny walk.

Until someone can tell me I am better of feeding Darcy canned or dry dog food, I love that her poo are little pebbles – and she’s not thirsty from eating her supper. I’ve tried all the “high end brands” but it never worked for Darcy – so it wasn’t a choice about raw or not, but a decision regarding her health.
It’s quite interesting that today we went to Pet Pavilion to buy me some denta chews – now, what do their say about those things? They only now stock the best of the best brands. James Wellbeloved is no longer on offer. But they have Orijen, Canagan and Lily’s – the ones we have tried.
Not sure how Lily’s is different to any of the others as they claim to be – in dried up kibbles. This was my first food and after two weeks, I stopped eating it.

Have you tried Nature Diet? It’s a wet food based on a raw type diet but in sealed packs that don’t need to be kept refrigerated until open. That may work when you are travelling. Betty has been on this since she was a year old and loves it. She turned her nose up at pretty much all dried food and I struggled to get her to eat for the first year, but nature diet seems to agree with her and generally also ms firm poos!! X
No we haven’t heard of Nature’s Diet but will definitely look into it for our trip next weekend. DO you buy them at stores or have them delivered?

That’s the web page for it but you can buy individual packs of it in many pet shops but as I know Betty loves it I buy it on the internet as it works out cheaper. As Betty is only 5.5kg she has about a third of a pack in the morning and in the evening.
You can see what’s in the food and it smells like what it’s meant to be. My only tip would be to avoid the fish as it stinks!!!!!

Loved it… Didn’t take a picture but Lucca did the same thing, although I wrapped raw mince meat around the carrots.. Organic waitrose .. However he managed to eat the meat and leave the carrots…clever little Cockerpoos !!!!!
