Elevenses at Jouvaud in Carpentras

Tory told us there’s a famous très chic chocolatier/patissier in Carpentras called Jouvaud that she thinks Mummy would love. But not sure if George and I can go in. So we asked.

And voila! We can!!!

Ooh la la! Mummy was simply delighted at ALL the food on displayMouth-wateringly good! They’re known for their chocolates …of which we can’t have any!And all those fruits confitsWe can’t have any of these

Gigantic meringues!And funny little marzipan dollies!  Look there are doggies in the crowd!And the most colourful sugared almonds – very pretty!We sat down for Elevenses …Little Georgie wondering what will appear on the tableOh my! That’s their version of a palmier.Not very interesting for me.It is also a gift shop full of interesting things that Mummy loved.Oh look! They even had Mummy’s birthday on display. How did they know?!!?!May’s comment: La Maison Jouvaud, founded in 1948, is a famous chocolaterie in Carpentras. Started three generations ago, this family run business that now also has stores in Avignon, L’Isle sur-la-Sorgue and Tokyo. Absolutely delightful store of beautifully displayed pastries, chocolates and all sorts of sweeties.  It’s also a gift shop of exquisite things. Couldn’t help but do some shopping.
