Tory told us there’s a famous très chic chocolatier/patissier in Carpentras called Jouvaud that she thinks Mummy would love. But not sure if George and I can go in. So we asked.

And voila! We can!!!

Gigantic meringues!IMG_2990And funny little marzipan dollies!  Look there are doggies in the crowd!IMG_2984And the most colourful sugared almonds – very pretty!IMG_3013We sat down for Elevenses …IMG_3033Little Georgie wondering what will appear on the tableIMG_3003Oh my! That’s their version of a palmier.IMG_3016Not very interesting for me.IMG_3017It is also a gift shop full of interesting things that Mummy loved.IMG_3006IMG_3004Oh look! They even had Mummy’s birthday on display. How did they know?!!?!IMG_3018May’s comment: La Maison Jouvaud, founded in 1948, is a famous chocolaterie in Carpentras. Started three generations ago, this family run business that now also has stores in Avignon, L’Isle sur-la-Sorgue and Tokyo. Absolutely delightful store of beautifully displayed pastries, chocolates and all sorts of sweeties.  IMG_3041It’s also a gift shop of exquisite things. Couldn’t help but do some shopping.
