It was time for Lulu to see more of England, her new country. And we thought The Cotswolds with it’s miles of rolling hills and unspoilt countryside, dotted with picturesque villages, market towns, exquisite manor houses to cute chocolate box cottages, and so much history would be a good place to start!
So when we were invited to visit Ellenborough Park, we thought that’s the best way to introduce Lulu to one of the prettiest parts of England.

May’s comment: Ellenborough Park is an indulgent country retreat nestled in the Cotswolds.

The building itself has been standing for over 500 years. Steeped in history and boasting 90 acres of glorious grounds, the estate is idyllically nestled between the Cotswolds’ highest point and the gallops of Cheltenham Racecourse. We could see the racecourse from the sloping greens in the front of the Manor House, not to mention the glorious sunsets.

Ellenborough Park opened its doors for the first time in 2010. With 61 rooms, 90 acres of grounds, and a fully restored suite of facilities, it wasn’t long before the house became one of the Cotswolds’ best-loved spots.

The Indian summer we are having was glorious for our wander around the 90 acre grounds. We had lots to discover.

They welcome dogs in their Garden Luxury bedrooms located in a quiet corner of Ellenborough Gate and boast plenty of space. Each bedroom is unique in its shape and design, and have their own private enclosed garden, perfect for enjoying a little extra space in the peaceful Cotswolds countryside.

Dogs can dine with humans at the Horsebox Brasserie. They even have a dog’s menu.

When Mum goes to the Spa, and tells us there’s a Paw Spa – we got excited! But it wasn’t what we expected! LOL!

Truly a fabulous place to add to our favourite places to visit. A perfect getaway in a beautiful part of the country.
