Nooshe jân! 

نوش جان (Nooshe jân!) means 'May it nourish your soul'.

Right on our doorstep on King’s Road is a new restaurant, Diba which serves authentic Persian cuisine. This is a pleasant dog-friendly addition to an already international corner of Chelsea where you can find Peruvian, Mexican, Lebanese, Mediterranean, Italian, French and on it goes. Even an Irish restaurant.

DIBA means a fine silk thread and good home-cooking is the thread that connects people. Their menu consists of family recipes passed down the generations. Enjoy the vibrant, joyous feasts of spices and herbs cooked with fresh British produce and served with warm Persian hospitality.

The Chelsea branch is their third restaurant in London – 386 King’s Rd, London SW3 5UZ. The other two are in Wimbledon and Richmond

May’s comment: We are loving the expanding range of restaurants that are now dog-friendly. Our latest additions to the blog’s Dining Directory includes a Persian, a Japanese restaurant and two Mediterranean cafes.

When we began checking out London restaurants ten years ago, we were pleased to find that there were quite a few to choose from. But we were challenged to find Asian restaurants. That list has been growing steadily.

We recently re-visited Chojo – one of the very first dog-friendly Chinese restaurants. That’s because the owners are dog-lovers and have their own dogs. And they were delighted to meet Lulu from China after asking about Darcy.

Love the tapas style dishes that’s creative and different.

We always dine at the restaurants we list to make sure we approve of them – some more than others but everyone has different tastes. The important thing is they are truly dog friendly. There are a couple that require dogs to be outside. Not ideal but if it is a restaurant worthy of a visit, that is better than not having them with us.
