I usually awake when the sun comes up – so it gets a little later as the winter comes. But sometimes I awake because I can tell some pooch is walking past our window and I would growl – and wake up Mummy.
Then I look over at Mummy to see if she’s awake – sometimes I think she’s pretending to be asleep!
If she isn’t stirring, I stretch myself on the bed and sometimes I just curl up again …
but usually by this time, Mummy’s alarm goes off. So now I know she’s awake and I wag my tail , thumping it against the pillow to remind her its breakfast time!
I jump off the bed and run over to her side and wait for her feet to stick out from under the duvet to give them kisses.
but it doesn’t end there … I wait for her beckoning –
UP! And that means one more snuggle on her side of the bed.
A yawn …
A big yawn!
A scratch under the chin …
And then we’re off !
I await as Mummy S-L-O-W-L-Y emerges from under the covers …
We head straight to the kitchen and I follow Mummy’s every step … sometimes I am so eager with excitement I nudge her behind her knees (which always makes her laugh) or I jump up at the counter which she doesn’t like …
Ahhh! Finally – my breakfast.
But I have to “sit” and “wait” for Mummy to say … OK!
Before I can feast on my yummy raw meat! I am having beef today!
BURP! Sorry, not very ladylike.
