Friends @ CRUFTS!

IMG_2783

We arrived at the NEC this morning – after a train, a quick run across two train stations in Birmingham and another train. Then a full taxi rank who would not take dogs – we finally made it to Crufts.

We first went to visit our friends at Honey’s Real Dog Food … IMG_2751 Vicky and JonathanIMG_2754 When we were there, along came our friends. First was lovely Isobel!IMG_2759 Then came Katie …IMG_2763Here I am – showing off for Katie!IMG_2765 This is Claire!  Harry couldn’t come.IMG_2789 This is Poppy’s Mummy, Roxy – I hope I get to meet Poppy some day – we look very similarIMG_2793Me and Amy!
IMG_2814Debra, Cath and John found us in Hall 3!
IMG_2820 And this is Darcey and Miss Darcy!IMG_2825 This is Kai, a hearing dog who was with his Mummy, Sarah – so proud of himIMG_2828 IMG_2834 This is Swan with Alfie and me!IMG_2832 IMG_2837 Giving Sara a hug at the end of a long day for everyone!IMG_2842

I am knackered! It’s been a long day.
IMG_2852May’s comment: Darcy handled the day really well. We travelled from Stratford this morning – two trains, trying to get to the hotel when taxis refused us.  Then it was a full day at Crufts. She manoeuvred her way through lots of legs, stairs, lots of people stroking her, holding her and most importantly – other dogs. At first she barked at them when in the hotel but she soon realised this is a place full of dogs – and she’s just one of them. The only time she barked was when she saw a German Shepherd looking dog.

And apologies if I didn’t put your names down because I got confused and didn’t want to make mistakes. If all of you on the photos -please provide me with your names, that would be fantastic!

  1. You’re such a celebrity Miss Darcy! Have a lovely rest ready for tomorrow! Shame on those taxi drivers! X

  2. Hello…that was me in the red jacket. Henry is my black cockapoo. I so wished he could have been with me. Was a fun day. Miss Darcy was so relaxed with it all as was certainly very busy there. I love reading your blog….keep it coming :)…xx…Claire Hughes

    1. Hi Claire! Thank you for coming to say hello! And thank you for reading my blog! We’ll try and keep it entertaining. xox

  3. Hi Darcy, Kai here, it was great to meet you and your mum and friends, we just on the way out after such a long day and it was a very nice finish to great day. We are the same height and just right for getting accidently bashed by shopping bags in the crowds! I have been sleeping all evening but have woken up for a game now! Catch you later, Kai xx

    1. Lovely to have met you Kai! So glad you came to say hello. Yes, it was a bit rough in there – you’re right besides avoiding legs, we were constantly dodging shopping bags. Amazingly we weren’t run over by some trolley or other. Sleep well. I am knackered! x

  4. We were so pleased to spot you in the crowd on Saturday and Darcey was so pleased to meet Miss Darcy! Also lovely to meet Kai at the same, doing such a special job. I loved all the pedigree dogs but Cockapoos will always be my Best in Show. Obi, Roo and Poppy say “Woof” and we hope to make to one of your Hyde Park meet ups soon. Clare x

    1. That was the best part about Crufts – meeting friends who we have known by name only but feel we know each other – to finally meet. I love the picture of me with Darcey! And yes please, do come and join us in Hyde Park! x

  5. Hello miss Darcy. We spotted you and your mummy across the hall and had to come and say hello. Amy was so thrilled to meet you and said it was the best thing about going to crufts! You really are a stunning girl and we love reading about your adventures.
The photo of Amy and Darcy is between Roxy, Poppy’s mummy, and John Donnelly. X

    1. Thank you for letting us know. We weren’t so organised the first day and forgot everyone’s names! We’ve just added it to the post and hope Amy is pleased with it! x

  6. Hi May

Fabulous to meet you and the gorgeous Darcy. That’s my daughter Isobel in the first picture at Honeys. Isobel was so excited to meet Datcy and has told everyone she meets!

Hope you enjoyed the rest of your day.

    Jo & Isobel x

    1. Thanks, Jo! I will add Isobel’s name to the post!
So lovely to have met you both! It made Crufts so much more fun!
Not much rest till end of day – we’re off to QVC to do Pet Angel demonstration. xxx
