It was during a trip to Highgrove in June when I learnt about King Charles’s Jack Russell, Tigga who passed away in 2022 was buried there. Discreetly hidden amongst the bushes is a sculpture of Tigga. It inspired me to ask Alice from @dogsdogscatsdogs to do a teenie of Tigga to send to His Majesty, along with well wishes.
Alice drew Tigga next to King Charles’ favourite flowers, Delphinium.
But we couldn’t leave out Bluebell and Beth, Queen Camilla’s Jack Russell rescues from Battersea Dogs & Cats Home. Alice drew them next to Alchemilla Mollis (the garden lady’s-mantle or lady’s-mantle), Her Majesty’s favourite flowers.
Sadly, Beth recently passed away.
She brought such joy to their Majesties, whether on walkies, helping on official duties, or curled up by the fire. Queen Camilla also paid tribute to Beth and Bluebell by having the embroidered on her Coronation gown.
Today, we received a thank you letter from Queen Camilla for the portraits of Tigga, Beth and Bluebell. She wrote that right after the weekend when Beth passed.
Nothing can replace the loss of that love and relationship but I hope it served as a memento
Alice’s Teenies are hand painted portraits painted onto an Ivory picture mount, and watercolour paper – each bespoke illustration measures 10cm x 10cm.

We love Alice’s teeny portraits. They have been the best gift for so many. And thought the King and Queen should have them too.
