Each year in May for Chelsea in Bloom, we would have our photos taken by its themed floral displays. at 11 Cadogan Gardens, and wondered what was behind the doors of this little gem of a hotel in one of London’s most prestigious neighbourhoods.
But this year, since Chelsea Dog Day in October, it has joined it’s nearby sister hotel, The Chelsea Townhouse to offer dog owners travelling to London a place to enjoy the neighbourhood. Or for locals like us, a place to escape to and be pampered.
We were recently guests at both these little gems and when we walked through their doors, we felt like we had arrived at a quintessential Chelsea home – a blend of elegance, culture, luxury, and charm. It’s not just a place to stay; it’s a lifestyle and a mindset, representing the very best of London.
Both located in the heart of fashionable Chelsea and moments away from Knightsbridge – a desirable location for guests who want to explore the destination by foot, the hotel is in close proximity to London’s finest boutiques, bars and eateries, as well as Harvey Nichols and Harrods.
11 Cadogan Gardens is a stunning boutique hotel in an elegant Victorian townhouse. Built by Lord Chelsea in the late 19th century, in 2019, it became the first Relais & Chateau hotel in London.
Each room is decked out in luxurious contemporary materials, with plush upholstered king size beds in crisp white linen and rich textures. Beautiful details like original cornicing and vintage furniture preserve the heritage flair.
It’s a perfectly soothing sanctuary, where you can beat a hasty retreat from the hustle and bustle of the capital.
With dog beds in place, and bottled Hildon water to quench their thirst.
And just a stone’s throw away, nestled in the serene and leafy Cadogan Gardens a stone’s throw away from the vibrant Sloane Square, is Chelsea Townhouse debuting in September 2023, is the newest addition to the Iconic Luxury Hotel Collection.
Dating back to 1890, the hotel is set across three characterful Queen Anne-style, Victorian red-brick townhouses.
Behind the stately red-brick façade, you’ll discover an elegantly understated, newly refurbished oasis, each connected by staircases and hidden corridors.
An array of sophisticated rooms and suites overlooking the private garden square.
Enjoy the peace, explore the local village vibe or venture out into one of London’s most iconic neighbourhoods.
Hans Grill on Pavilion Road is their café bar and all-day dining restaurant. It has always been dog-friendly and it is the perfect place for healthy breakfasts and family brunches, late morning coffees, and early evening cocktails and dinner. You can access the restaurant from 11 Cadogan, and just a short walk from Chelsea Townhouse.
