I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. Psalm 121.1
We are joining in this weekend’s celebration of the Queen’s 90th birthday, but before we start our street party later in the day, we went to a service of Thanksgiving at the local parish, St. Andrews Chelsea.
There were seven of us doggies in the congregation today –
Our neighbours, Minnie and Cooper
Our friend Oggie and his new sister, Uka. And there was also a black labrador.
None of us howled nor bark. I think we behaved better than little children who have too much to say at church services.
This is our Reverend Paul Dawson – and he said dogs are always welcomed at St. Andrews Chelsea.
Now can we go to the street party?
May’s comment: The church service is a part of the neighbourhood celebration. We have organised one of the many street parties in London our being dog focused. Even more reason to as Her Majesty is a dog-lover.
More about the street party later … we are exhausted from the all-afternoon party.
St. Andrews Chelsea is on Park Walk, London.
