Heaven’s Choir has a new Tenor

IMG_2596

There’s a new tenor in Heaven. Kingston has joined the Heavenly choir.

Kingston used to serenade me and I would roll my eyes and wonder what on earth was he howling about.

But now everything seems a bit quieter.

Kingston was one of our doggy neighbours. The three of us would go for walkies together.

And George would stay with Kingston and the cats.

And we would run into each other all the time out on walkies. Of late, Kingston had not been well and some days he would go on walkies in his stroller.

Then one day we got the news. Though we knew he hadn’t been well, we knew he was very ill late last year. But we had just seen him about a week before and although totally deaf, he looked well. And then all of a sudden he took a turn for the worse.

On the last night before he passed, Kingston and Kai, one of his two cat siblings, slept together, touching each other. Kai never sleeps next to anyone.

Love you Kingston. We miss you so much. We miss seeing him when we are out for walkies. We miss having you stay over. And I miss your singing. But now the Heavenly choir have you – and we hear you in the wind, in the stars, in the waves.

May’s comment: Cannot believe he has left us. Kingston lived till a ripe old age of 14. In the end, liver problems and old age got the better of him.

It was such coincidence to learn that Kingston and Darcy came from the same breeder, Jandaz in Wales – and to become neighbours in London.

Coralie and Kingston – partner in crime

We have so enjoyed having Kingston stay with us and often entertained us with his singing. And now he has gone to join too many of our friends across the bridge.

Love you, Kingston. You have a very special place in our hearts.

  1. Heartbreaking May. 🐾❤️ I get so upset when I read of any dog passing because I know that our little furry friends are only with us for the shortest of time.
