My Instagram feed so far in 2026… 😆
Apparently, the algorithm has decided these are the things I love most:
⚽ England football (and yes… Jude Bellingham!) 🎾 Jannik Sinner’s Wimbledon triumph 🎤 Harry Styles… and naturally, all the One Direction boys ❤️ Niall Harbison and the incredible rescue stories from Happy Doggo 🐶 Wild at Heart Foundation superstar rescues, Beagle rescues ⚖️ Justice for Wang Wang 🐷 The Harbin Slaughterhouse survivors, whose journeys from unimaginable cruelty to love never fail to move me.
And then… there’s 🐵 Punch.
A tiny Japanese macaque from Ichikawa Zoo who unexpectedly captured the hearts of thousands of people around the world.

Somewhere along the way, I found myself checking in to see what Punch had been up to, celebrating every milestone, watching his cheeky personality emerge, and marvelling at just how quickly he has grown. Slowly but surely, he’s becoming just like the rest of the troop.

And today, our favourite little macaque turns ONE. 🥳
Happy Birthday, Punch. Thank you for bringing so many smiles to our feeds this past year. ❤️

You will probably never know just how many hearts you have touched from your little corner of the world.
Thank you for reminding us that resilience doesn’t have to roar. That vulnerability is not weakness. That even the smallest life can inspire hope, kindness and compassion.
Thank you for bringing strangers together, for making us smile, for making us care, and for proving that gentleness still has the power to unite people across languages, cultures and continents.
Your first year has been filled with challenges, but it has also been filled with love, love from your wonderful caretakers and from the millions of people cheering you on from afar.
Wishing you a lifetime of safety, happiness, curious adventures, and plenty of cuddles with your beloved orangutan.
Thank you for making our world a little softer.
