Hello Mummy and George!
It’s me writing from Stanley’s home – and feeling very at home.
I slept with Annie and Andrew last night and woke up nice and early and decided to give Annie morning kisses! Bet she loved that!
We went downstairs to see Stanley who I think was very jealous as I slept upstairs and he didn’t. No fault of mine, he prefers his place downstairs but let’s see if he changes his mind by the time I leave. I did tell Stan to go upstairs to play on the bed during the day so I can show him all the good things about sleeping on the bed.
We chased each other in the garden. After breakfast Andrew took us to the park. Stan and I did the doodle dash – haven’t done that for a while as I haven’t had anyone to do it with. And I did not go squirrelling but stayed by Andrew’s side just like I did yesterday when I was with Annie. Mummy, they have treats all the time! Try that trick.
But when I came back to the house, I was frightened when some people came down the stairs who I did not know. I started to growl and frightened the lady. Mummy did warn Annie that I don’t like strangers in homes.
I have to say, Stanley has been very nice to me, shares his toys and let’s me sleep on his place on the sofa.
But every time I go to sit with Annie, he either jumps up and sits with Andrew or he just barges in between me and Annie. Annie thinks it’s really good for Stanley. He’s an only-dog like I used to be till Georgie barged into our lives.
But we’re friends and he’s been super generous with me especially with his toys. And today, we even shared his spot on the sofa.
But you know I have to be this way because that little rat George, came and took over many of my “birth-rights”!!! I’ve been left wanting … Just kidding. I love Georgie, but don’t tell him.
P.s. Hope George is ok at the vet, secretly I’m looking forward to seeing him.
May’s comment: Darcy’s off to spend the rest of the week with Stanley, Annie and Andrew. She’s familiar with their home and so she feels totally at home – too at home, maybe.
People say I have two pampered dogs and I would say – not pampered, just well-loved. Sometimes I think maybe they’re right. Both George and Darcy while being guests, have taken their places on the beds while their host dogs – Jaffa, sleeps in his bed in the bedroom and Stanley, for now, sleeps downstairs in his own bed. D&G cannot imagine sleeping anywhere else.
