We were running around in Myrtle’s garden when we saw an empty plastic bottle.
Where did it come from? Surely no one could have trespassed or we would have barked our heads off.
Well, it was there so I took a hold of the bottle and ran with it.
Like I was possessed!
And little Georgie started chasing me
Then I stopped and started to chew it as I always do
As I was doing destruction, Myrtle came up to have a closer look at what I was doing …
Yes, Myrtle?
She kept staring at me playing with the bottle
And she gave a perplexed look at her mummy …
What I had not realised was that Myrtle collects bottles from her walks. Her mummy told us that she picks them up, carries them home and then buries them in their garden. Apparently she had dug up this one and left it in the garden – probably to rebury it. But she’s never had another dog in the garden who would bother any of her finds. So I guess she was a little confused.
But we then see her with another bottle she had unburied.
She walked off into the distance to see where she could hide it.
Hoping no one would see what she was doing
Dissatisfied with what she saw, she looked elsewhere …
Hmmm – where was she going with that?
As she was still deciding, Georgie and I ran right past her as she was trying to sneak it away
Then Georgie started following her
Oh no, Myrtle – run!
She was relieved that he was quickly distracted – by me!
So she wandered off to find her hiding place
We see you Myrtle! We know where you’ve buried that bottle.
You must be grateful that we’ve left or you would be worried that we know where you’ve hidden that bottle! LOL!
May’s comment: Really quite sweet to watch Myrtle’s world disturbed by these two hooligans – rushing around her garden and then stealing her bottle and chewing it to bits. She must be relieved that we finally left and she has her world back to order.

Bottles are very important. I like to fish them out of the river. My record was 13 after you dirty humans held Henley Regatta
