Today is our 6th Hyde Park Cockapoo Club walk. We meet every three weeks in front of the Kensington Palace gates. When we first meet up, there’s lots of excitement – to see each other again. We run, we chase, we tumble, we have tug-o-wars over branches and sometimes we hump each other, much to the dismay of our owners.
There were 13 of us today! In this picture you can’t see Luca but at least Lilo is in the photo.
The Hyde Park Cockapoo Club was started by Stacy and Mummy.
They met in the park one day while we were having our walkies. They thought it would be so much fun to get together all the cockapoos we have met for a playdate. We do like playing with our own kind most of the time. So Stacy, who has Zavia (my best friend and we look like sisters!) started emailing the first group. And we had our first walk on the 13th January. We started with four of us and by the end of that first walk, we were six.

Soon we had twelve – the best turnout was 14 on a very cold, wet and windy London day. That shows commitment!!!
May’s comment: Today there are almost 60 names on our members list and we keep growing. We hope that we might have a picnic in July and we can all run round and round while the humans sit and enjoy themselves. If you have a cockapoo or a poodle mix, e.g. cavapoo, spoodle, etc and would like to join us, send us your info and we’ll add you on our distribution list. Our next walk will be the weekend of the 18/19 May. We send out an email that Thursday to confirm if it’s the Sat or Sun – dependent on weather. We meet at around 10:30am or 11am (tbc) in front of the Kensington Palace gates.

The next one will most likely be the next weekend – either the 11 or 12 – dependent on weather. That said, we prefer it to be Sunday as it’s most convenient for most. We always post on Hyde Park Cockapoo Friends FB page.

Hi Shirley, yes we are. The next one will be the next Sunday, 12th Oct and then we have a cockapoo event at Gaucho Hampstead on the 26th Oct – a Halloween party!
