“I love voting day. I love the sight of my fellow citizens lining up to make their voices heard.”
Election Day gives me a sense of community.
I watch the news and listen to political debates, mostly feeling frustrated and anxious at the state of our world.
I avoid discussing politics because talking about it gives me angst, feeling everything is out of my control.
But today, as a citizen, I have a vote. Albeit one voice, still #myvotecounts.
Whatever happens tomorrow I’ve had my say.
George and Lulu went with me to the polling station, proudly wearing their harnesses from Wondercoat Dogs – three immigrants (Malaysia, Hungary and Chine) and we proudly call the UK home.
