Kissing Mummy’s Tears

IMG_0160

One day we drove to the airport to drop off a friend.  After we came home Mummy was very sad.  She sat down on the sofa and cried. I jumped up on her lap to lick her tears.  I think she felt better because she hugged me really closely.

May’s comment: The times when she knew I was upset and jumped up to kiss my tears made up for all the sleepless nights when she was ill, the early morning rushing out the front door or the last walk late at night – it was all worthwhile.
