Bye Land’s End! We’re off to the Isles of Scilly!
Checking in at the airport – weighing in …
Not a great idea for us girls.
How much do I weigh? Oh! lots less than I thought. Yay!
George’s turn.
We were given our boarding pass – which matches our bow ties!
George was very curious about what was going on outside …
Soon we were called into the pre-boarding briefing room –
And we’re ready to board the Skybus – the smallest plane I’ve been in so far.
I’m ready! C’mon let’s go!
We were ushered into the crate – both George and I.
George would much rather be on Mum’s lap. I usually don’t like the take off and would be on Mum’s lap but I had to be calm for George. He was a little anxious.
It was only a short flight – all of 15 mins in the air.
And we we soon landed.
We’re in St Mary’s on the Isles of Scilly!
Our hotel on Bryher Island had arranged for a pick-up – and we were taken to the port to await our boat transfer. There’s a little cafe along the docks – dog-friendly!
Dog treats for us! Mum forgot to bring our treats – so this was the only thing we had all week – since Belinda left.
There was this fab old picture of the docks on the wall – this looks like I was in it.
3.15 pm is when our boat is expected to arrive.
And there it is – little boat.
That’s Mum carrying George and me – waiting to get board.
And we’re off to Bryher Island.
George with big wide eyes again!
And another wind-blown trio!
Only about a ten minute boat ride to Bryher. We were met by the Hell Bay hotel porter and driven to our hotel – our “home” for the next two days.

May’s comment: Woohoo! We made it! A beautiful day for travelling – plane and boat!
Now to discover the Isles of Scilly. Checked into Hell Bay Hotel. Tomorrow we’ll check out the other islands.
