Ember was just 12 weeks old when she was attacked by another dog.
She has sustained serious injuries, all her metatarsals are smashed, a bone ‘sticking out’ and she has multiple wounds all over her leg. She was in severe shock.

Danielle, a vet nurse at the practice intensively nursed her for an hour. At one point she almost didn’t make it.
They put on a massive bandage to stabilise the leg and to give the wounds a chance to heal.

Unfortunately her owners couldn’t afford her treatment so her ownership was relinquished. Danielle decided to adopt her.

And now her treatment begins.
The road to recovery is long with lots of anaesthetics that will carry a lot of risk. It will be at least three months before her leg can be weight bearing.
But she is in safe hands now and we wanted to share her story and to help her get better.
May’s comment: Many who have heard her story had asked Danielle how they can contribute towards Ember’s medical treatment and care. If you would like to help, Danielle has set up Go Fund Me page – All for the love of a special puppy

Let’s help Ember, the Little Warrior get the treatment she needs to be back on all fours.

We all need a little help. To follow her story, you can find updates on Danielle’s Instagram @thejoulesdog
