This means “light and fresh” – a general popular opinion that’s how an apartment in Stockholm should be. Given that mind-set, we knew it was going to be a big task to help Catarina change her apartment. Mummy had colour ideas in her head! One of Mummy’s tasks whilst in Stockholm was to help our lovely host Catarina to fix up her apartment. So after much discussion, off we went to a home decorating store when Mummy saw this quote … hey! things might be a-changing in Stockholm!
Just checking that my apricot coat will go well with most colours – so it doesn’t matter which they choose. I will still look good within the decor.
May’s comment: The beginning of change. Choosing colours is not an easy task. It takes imagination, understanding of colour base, effects of light and importantly – what it means to the person in that space. In the end we found a colour that will work – the home will look “dressed” and complete for cocooning rather than light and fresh and mostly bare!
So much fun to re-arrange furniture, hand pictures, choose colours – just creating ambience in spaces. That was all in a weekend in Stockholm!
