Loving February

IMG_2341

Without Valentine’s Day, February would be … well, January. LOL! Not really.

After being away for a month staying with friends, early February finally brought me home when Mum was ok to walk me around the block.

She was concerned that I would sulk and punish her. I did once when I knew she went away with Darcy and left me behind. This time I knew why I needed to be away and I was only too excited to see her. Once home, we had lots of cuddles – especially when she sat on the sofa all day long watching her latest TV series. And don’t ask her which one it was – she wouldn’t stop talking about it.

I helped out whenever I could as she continued her physiotherapy!

As soon as February comes along, everyone thinks about Valentine’s Day. To commemorate the day, Mum bought us both biscuits and we shared a pizza.

And as soon as Mum passed the magic six week mark (of bone healing time) … we were off!

First trip away since Scotland over New Year, we were off to Goodwood for the Taster Event for Goodwoof.

This year’s Goodwoof will be on the 20-21 of May. We enjoyed Goodwoof so much last year that this time we decided to go for both days.

We celebrated Missy’s birthday with all our “Scottish Dogs” – the group of us who went to St. Andrews for New Year’s. It was so fun to see each other again.

We also attended a photoshoot for Top Dog shampoo at Brown’s Hotel … that was a full on day.

As we ended the month of February, it was Darcy’s birthday. And as someone said to Mum, the day she passed was the saddest day, but not the most important. It was the day that she was born that is to be celebrated. And to give thanks for the day Mum met her – the day that changed Mum’s life.

We went to sit on her bench at St. Luke’s Garden – after Mum cleaned it.

And since it was a birthday after all, we had to have cake. We met up with Mr. Darcy and went to the newest dog-friendly Art Space Cafe at Claridge’s. I think Darcy would approve of that.

After six weeks of staying home, I think Mum shot out of the canon at week seven!!! LOL!

May’s comment: We live each month as it comes. From the last three years, everything changed on a dime and all plans were thrown into disarray. To be honest, I had become a bit wary of another year of dealing with the unexpected. Life never guarantees anything but if we live in LOVE, at least we can be at peace with ourselves.

And tomorrow, it’s March …

May the early spring

Spring brings hope, lighter nights and a taste of longer days. Sending healing vibes and licks from Flossie xxxx

  4. I think you both made up for lost time extremely well. Having fun is the most important thing. We are interested in the heads up about Art Space. Mum and April will make a date as soon as they can round up some friends to join. Thanks for that. Glad the knee is success and in the past.
Enjoy the Spring from April and Mum
