Did you really think we were going to let Afternoon Tea Week pass without having afternoon tea? 😂🫖
Never mind that I probably had about ten of them back in June when Margaret was over for our Kitchen Chat tour. Surely there was room for just one more?
And then I spotted the afternoon tea at Lucky Cat by Gordon Ramsay in Mayfair.
We’ve been to Lucky Cat Mayfair for lunch before, but never for afternoon tea. And this is most definitely not your traditional finger-sandwiches-and-scones affair.
We started with a selection of nigiri, followed by sandos of shiso-cured salmon with wasabi crème fraîche, Kyoto cucumber and short rib with yuzu mustard.
And for the sweet course? Yuzu meringue tartlets, matcha and strawberry sandos, and miso brownies with white chocolate ganache.
Afternoon tea, but very much through the Lucky Cat lens. 🍣🍵
And there was another rather important reason for choosing this particular Lucky Cat…
Lucky Cat Mayfair is dog friendly. 🐾
So really, what choice did we have?
Afternoon Tea Week, something completely different, and George and Lulu could come too.
Surely one more afternoon tea couldn’t hurt. 😂🫖🐶
