LULU came to us at the end of August this year. She radiates cuteness and so many have said she looks like a stuff toy!!!
Who knew that there’s actually a stuffed dog doll also called LULU!!!
LULU from The Elephant Project is an 8″ stuffed dog doll made out of soft brown fabric and a beautiful white dress.

We got to know about this LULU at the time of the auction to help raise funds for Slaughterhouse Survivors earlier this Summer. She’s the latest edition of The Elephant Project’s SAVEUS™ brand.
Through the purchase of LULU, the Elephant Project is now also supporting rescue and rehabilitation work with dogs. 100% of net proceeds go to organisations that help save dogs from abuse and neglect in the United States and abroad. Some of the organisations they support are Harbin SHS
Buy a dog, help save a dog!
We didn’t manage to win the auction bid but Mum made sure Lulu got to meet Lulu – and she came to us via Harbin! Long way to travel but worth it!

May’s comment: About The Elephant Project (click link to website)
Kristina McKean has felt a deeply rooted kinship with animals for as long as she can remember. When she traveled through Thailand and witnessed baby elephants on the streets of Bangkok being exploited for money, she was devastated. Later, back in the U.S., she became further outraged at the treatment of elephants in the circus, unable to comprehend how animal abuse could be construed as entertainment in any way.
After years spent signing petitions, protesting circuses, and creating social media campaigns to help spread awareness surrounding the mistreatment of elephants, Kristina felt propelled to do more. The welfare of elephants has become her passion and life quest.
In creating The Elephant Project, she is now able to make a significant contribution to saving elephants.
Sales of the specially created stuffed animals go directly to organizations that are helping to rescue and care for orphaned, injured and abused elephants in the United States and abroad.
Travelling with Lulu from California via Harbin, China to London is Tembo, meaning elephant in Swahili.

These very cute plushies will make great Christmas gifts.
