In the heart of Notting Hill, Rika Moon rises above the melting-pot of the diverse neighbourhood.
We were invited to lunch at Rika Moon – a luxurious, fine-dining experience of Japanese fusion cuisine and exciting cocktails.
And we love the significance of the name!
Rika, meaning ‘Loved’ in Persian and ‘Pear Blossom’ in Japanese. And that is the name of the founder, Mahsa’s beloved dog who heads up the Front of House team with his charm and bubbly personality. While Moon is the Persian-to-English translation of founder Mahsa’s given name.

Rika Moon specialises in coupling the delicious subtlety and beauty of Japanese food with a modern twist by using only the finest, carefully-sourced local ingredients. All set in beautifully chic designer interior with open plan sushi counter and theatric bar, creating the ultimate culinary and sensory experience.

Domo arigatou gozaimasu, RIKA MOON!
May’s comment: Dog-friendly Asian restaurants are hard to come by though the list has been growing. We were absolutely delighted to add Rika Moon to our Dining Directory.
Rika Moon is family-owned, dog-friendly, warm and welcoming, taking pride in delivering the very best honest and personable service.
