Hooray! We have been waiting for a decision by Daphne’s Restaurant in Chelsea if they decide to be dog-friendly and we finally got an email from them on the 1 July!
Note: “small dogs” – so Mummy took George this time just not to rock the boat as they gingerly step into the world of being “dog-friendly”. Mummy said, she’ll take me the next time – to try out “size” issue. And only during the day, not evening.
The arrived quite soaked as they were caught in a sudden downpour – the Summer so far has been quite damp.
But it wasn’t going to dampen their excitement of being there the first time with doggies.
And sitting in the conservatory was just as good –
Little Tyke was very happy to be with George
But when his food arrived, he had no time for George
As he devoured his grilled calamari with George watching closely
And when dessert came, he had to ward off Mummy!
All this time, Georgie sat by quietly and waited.
As they were leaving, the table next to them could not believe how well-behaved George was.
May’s comment: Another dog-friendly restaurant in Chelsea!
To celebrate the event, they have partnered with Lulu Guinness to create a limited edition dog bowl – inspired by her own Westie “Daphne”.
I think this is just the beginning … we will have to try to show how good dogs can be at restaurants and they may consider opening up their other restaurants too – especially The Ivy Chelsea Garden and Scott’s!!!!
