March on …

To April!

There was a lot of hope riding on March – hoping that Spring will make an appearance soon.

As the month began, flowers were starting to make an appearance, but the weather turned cold again and we had a sprinkling of snow flakes. We didn’t get much snow where we live. There’s always one last show of winter before Spring arrives. We hope that was it.

We had also hoped that we would have started travelling at week 9 of Mum’s recovery. But nothing went to plan. The week before I ate some things that caused chaos to my tummy. The bed tummy lasted for about 10 days. Mum considered leaving me behind but she also realised that her knee wasn’t quite ready for a big adventure abroad. All travel plans for March were cancelled.

Instead we explored a few more dog friendly places to our list.

Crepes and cakes at Claridge’s Art Space Cafe

Italian Afternoon Tea at TOZI, art’otel

Dining at Gordon Ramsay’s Bread Street Kitchen & Bar at Battersea Power Station

Italian at Brasseria and at Kerridge’s Bar & Grill

Throughout the month we celebrated women on International Women’s Day – yes, we should celebrate women every day but we forget, so like every other celebration, we put aside a day to sing the praises of women.

We wore green on St. Patrick’s Day to avoid getting pinched by north leprechauns!

and remembered Mothering Sunday …

And it seems that as soon as we hit the Spring Equinox, the flowers blossomed … everywhere!!!

May’s comment: “Our life is March weather, savage and serene in one hour.” ― Ralph Waldo Emerson

Fare thee well, winter. Let’s see what April brings.
